The search for a simple "mind-to-body" golf swing technique has been top of mind for me since early 1990s. SYT GOLF's core concepts have not changed substantially over the years, but how best to connect-the-dots in our minds eye has been elusive. One requriement to the perfect mental swing thought riddle for sure - our body is encouranged to use both sides naturally as possible. As Mr. Bobby Jones so perfectly stated "all patrs working together" must be a central theme in all repeating golf swings. Certainly this mandates that our cebtral focus utilize both HANDS, Arms, Forearms, Shoulders, Hips, Legs, etc., etc... all together and stay connected and in-sync throughout the golf swing. The core principle is universal and applies to many other sports such as baseball and tennis. The 2013 and 2014 video updates to web site did offer greater insight into my reasoning and core teaching principles that both SYT SKIING and SYT GOLF are based upon. A more recent video recoded Oct 2016 reveals my latest swing THOUGHTs in action.

First Premise: when we learn to Quiet the mind... The Symphony Begins early Testimonial of concepts 2006
This concept is the product of tens of thousands of hours conducting extensive research on both driving ranges and golf courses. This unique method directs most of the golfer's attention to FEELING his HANDS HANDLE accomplish one very precise swing task, while the rest of his body remains in near perfect balance.[Handle Swings Along the LINE], After many years of experimentation and refinement, this golf method and its self-teaching components are never perfected, but published AS IS! . This short golf video demonstrates how well an occasional golfer can learn to calm her MIND and make a good shot under pressure.
Although earlier versions were not perfect, I had used them to teach my son golf. For three straight years (2000-2003), my son consistently ranked in top 10 of Missouri’s Junior Golfers, while competing in many Junior Series PGA events. For most of the past 12 years, my son and I have played to single digit handicaps. I have spent a huge portion of my sports life, in what seems an endless effort to perfect the ideal mental triggers (swing cues) that naturally generate a good repeating golf swing for the average golfer. It has been an evolutionary process, developed over a prolonged period of trial and error, and driven by an intense desire to finding a better way to think about a golf swing - golf’s "holy grail". Over the years, I gave many golf lessons and experimented with countless variations and versions of how best to connect the hands and body in a synchronized golf swing. The core fundamentals of profound Hand Line awareness and Rotation Line awareness have not changed and by adding Center awareness - all essential dots stay connected. See video Like Father-Like Son 2010.
Basically, there are only 3 primary focus points you really need to concentrate on prior to each golf swing. Basic golf club swing action is centered around our HANDS, then further refined to a specific FEELING sensation called Hand Line (HL). Body alignment and weight transfer awareness is centered around a VISUAL imaginary Rotation Line (RL) running beneath the golf ball and perpendicular (90 degrees) to the target line. The hardest part which required the most experimentation, was figuring out just how best to connect these two lines (dots) in a simple fashion that any person's MIND could grasp and master. Regardless of their age or natural athletic ability. I am comfortable, that SYT™ Golf Method will be introduced and marketed [2012] - in the form of a simple training video, mini golf booklet, and a laminated self-learning swing template. Another milestone that convinced me I was on the right path, was reaching the "District Finals" REMAX LONG DRIVE CONTEST 2006 and 2007 (Super Senior Division) - my longest drive recorded was 317 yards. 1. Anyone else help in development? – NO, other than many golfers willing to give it a try. 2. Any contractual relationships? – NONE 3. Patent searches and patent applications filed by patent attorney -Joseph Mueller, St. Louis, MO
Filed preliminary SYT™ golf patent on Jan 2005, and final patent application was filed in USA Jan 2006. Several INTERNATIONAL patent applications were filed in Nov 2007. SYT Golf Method in its original submitted form was granted a patent by Republic of South Africa Oct 2008 PCT/US2006/002915
